Foolishness or Worse Passing for Scientific Data from "Experts"
Foolishness or Worse Passing for Scientific Data from “Experts”

“Social
isolation during the pandemic was never meant to thwart social connections, but
many family members, friends and neighbors of older adults are staying away to avoid exposing their
loved ones to the virus. While that protects older adults from some health
risks, the limited physical interactions reduce feelings of connectedness with
others. It can also exacerbate other health risks. Without frequent and
meaningful social interactions and stimulation, older adults’ cognitive
functioning can decline. As the days of isolation wear on,
older adults are especially susceptible to depression and anxiety, and even suicidal thoughts. Remaining at home also
makes it harder to engage in healthy
lifestyles, including physical activity and eating well.” https://theconversation.com/social-isolation-the-covid-19-pandemics-hidden-health-risk-for-older-adults-and-how-to-manage-it-141277
The so called experts who set
policy for dealing with the SARS-CoV-2 outbreak made numerous errors and
miscues from the exorbitant predictions of infection and death to creating
panic and hysteria over the virus, to shutting the economy down and advocating
medical martial law.
When the news of the Coronavirus
first spread, being in the media I noticed the tone and tenor of the reporting
tended to be one of sensationalist fear mongering rather than levelheaded
reporting. Early on I was lead to the
Website https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/ which kept a real time
running account of the infections, severity, recoveries and deaths due to the
novel virus. I was excited to see them put all the data into the fuller context
of the global population rather than harping on deaths.
The “reporting” in the corporate
media generated fear and panic which was not good for the psyches of the masses
being targeted and bombarded with their gloom and doom figures. We are not
dependent upon the gloom and doom figures and narrative of the .001% owned
corporate media.
https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/
provides a broader more global and comprehensive picture of the outbreak and
unlike the corporate media and monopoly social media giants offers a clearer
picture on the number of people who recover and rebound which as of this
writing is 92% ! https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/
This is a far cry from the gloom and doom figures reported by the people
pushing the bogus notion SARS-CoV-2 is the plague.
Government officials, public health
authorities and policy makers depended upon several sources for their
information and policy recommendations. It turns out these “sources” are all
connected. A biological mathematician who worked at the Imperial College of
London England named Neil Ferguson created infection and death predictions
based on computer algorithms. The Imperial College of London receives major funding
from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. Ferguson
predicted 2.2 million Americans would die from the coronavirus and 500,000 in
the UK
would die from it!
Let’s look at Neil Ferguson’s
record. Since 2001 Neil Ferguson has had a history of hyperbolic fear
mongering. He made Chicken Little type predictions on the Mad Cow, bird flu,
and swine flu viruses. https://statmodeling.stat.columbia.edu/2020/05/08/so-the-real-scandal-is-why-did-anyone-ever-listen-to-this-guy/
Yet this man was touted as an expert by the World Health Organization and the
US CDC, all of whom are funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation! Thankfully
he has resigned due to a personal scandal.
But people used his model to lock
down the Western economy! Public health officials used his predictions to
formulate public health policies that ran counter to conventional therapies and
modalities like: quarantining well people, locking down whole countries and
discouraging traditional treatments like vitamins and herbal supplements.
Worse they championed social
isolation when it is a known fact human beings need social interaction and
stimulation to feel healthy, connected and well adjusted. Mandating social isolation created problems
that exacerbated the situation and the “authorities” should have known better!
“According to a
meta-analysis co-authored by Julianne Holt-Lunstad, PhD, a professor of
psychology and neuroscience at Brigham
Young University ,
lack of social connection heightens health risks as much as smoking 15
cigarettes a day or having alcohol use disorder. She’s also found that
loneliness and social isolation are twice as harmful to physical and mental
health as obesity.” The Risks of Social Isolation- Amy Novotney https://www.apa.org/monitor/2019/05/ce-corner-isolation
.
These
are long known and documented facts. “As demonstrated by a review of the
effects of perceived social isolation across the life span, co-authored by
Hawkley, loneliness can wreak havoc on an individual’s physical, mental and
cognitive health (Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society B, Vol. 370, No. 1669,
2015). Hawkley points to evidence linking perceived social isolation
with adverse health consequences including depression, poor sleep quality,
impaired executive function, accelerated cognitive decline, poor cardiovascular
function and impaired immunity at every stage of life.” Ibid
Reach out to your family members,
get out, get fresh air, exercise, meet and mingle with people. Do not allow
fools or wicked people to make you afraid of life and living.
