The Real Fascists

The Real Fascists

“NEW YORK The American Legion, which has 2.7 million members, has declared war on antiwar protestors, and the media could be next. Speaking at its national convention in Honolulu, the group's national commander called for an end to all “public protests” and “media events” against the war. ‘The American Legion will stand against anyone and any group that would demoralize our troops, or worse, endanger their lives by encouraging terrorists to continue their cowardly attacks against freedom-loving peoples,’ Thomas Cadmus, national commander, told delegates at the group's national convention in Honolulu. The delegates voted to use whatever means necessary to ‘ensure the united backing of the American people to support our troops and the global war on terrorism.’ In his speech, Cadmus declared: ‘It would be tragic if the freedoms our veterans fought so valiantly to protect would be used against their successors today as they battle terrorists bent on our destruction.’ He explained, ‘No one respects the right to protest more than one who has fought for it, but we hope that Americans will present their views in correspondence to their elected officials rather than by public media events guaranteed to be picked up and used as tools of encouragement by our enemies.’ This might suggest to some, however, that American freedoms are worth dying for but not exercising.” http://www.infoshop.org/inews/article.php?story=20050825105357317

The NeoCons are on the offensive. Bu$h, Cheney and Rumsfeld have gone on the attack spouting language to further confuse and confound the masses calling Muslims terrorists to justify the NeoCons' perpetual war and corporatist rapine on a global level. The Bu$h-Cheney cabal has taken to the road to appear before choreographed, “friendly’ captive audiences to push their warmongering agenda by spouting words about “Islamofascists” “appeasement to fascists” and traitors. It is a very clever example of their psychosis as the kettle calls the pot black while the NeoCons go on the offensive/defense in an increasingly futile attempt to stem the cascading tide of anti-war, anti-administration feelings that is about to repudiate them and their imperialist war mongering policies.
The NeoCons are desperate. Bu$h’s approval ratings are in the toilet. His numbers have not cracked 40% iapproval n months. Dick Cheney is universally reviled by all but the few folks making mad money off of his war mongering policies. The Bu$h-Cheney cabal are seriously feeling the pressure of the negative feedback their "policies" have generated. More and more folks even hard core Republicans and real “conservatives” are abandoning them in droves as the 2006 mid-term elections approach. Bu$h and Co. are panicking. Their best boy Joe Lieberman was knocked out of the Connecticut primary by an anti-war candidate who is a political novice who ran on an anti-war platform. What are the panicking NeoCons to do? Their tried and true pattern of fear mongering didn’t work a few weeks ago when their lapdog across the pond, Tony Blair who is in a fight for his political life at home, and his Home Security Minister announced a “foiled” plot to bomb transcontinental flights between the UK and AmeriKKKa. Unfortunately for the NeoCons, the masses failed to faint and demand the NeoCons “save” us. I think Bu$H and Co. cried “wolf” a little too often. Usually when the Bushites announce a potential terrorist threat or another one of their color coded bogus terror alerts Bu$h's approval rating would go up. This time they didn’t, there is hope! The people are no longer responding like Pavolvian dogs to the Bu$h Jedi mind tricks.
For the Bu$hites panic is setting in. Now they are beating the hysteria drums to keep the people freightened, keep us believing terrorists are under every bed who hate us for “our freedoms” while the NeoCons dismantle “our freedoms” under the guise of “national security and their phony global war on terrorism. People are waking up to their scams. Folks are saying enough is enough. Even Republicans are beginning to distance themselves from Bu$h’s failed domestic and foreign policies. So now the Bu$h-Cheney cabal had to rachet up their fascist rhetoric. Now they are calling anyone who opposes their dim-witted plans traitors. They are calling anti-war activists and people who want real peace “appeasers” of fascism. The problem for them is. the people know this is mere name calling. Islamo-fascism is an oxymoron, a contradiction in essence. Most modern Islamic countries even the ones that are truly independent are not militaristic in nature and none have policies of imperialism contrary to the lies the US mind control machine puts out. However, if anyone is a fascist is the Bu$h-Cheney cabal. Their supporters are militarists who have a clearly articulated imperialist global agenda (see Project For A New American Century’s agenda http://www.newamericancentury.org/)
The Bu$h-Cheney cabal only appear before carefully selected audiences pumping out their propaganda to a controlled and brainwashed crowd. Recently Donald Rumsfeld spoke before the American Legion a veterans group used to blindly following orders to kill and establish AmeriKKKan economic and political hegemony around the world. Rumsfeld whipped them into a frenzy and as a result, the American Legion is now declaring war on the AmeriKKKan anti-war movement. In their stupor these veterans unanimously passed a resolution supporting the bogus “global war on terror.” "Resolution 3, which was passed unanimously by 4,000 delegates to the annual event, states: ‘The American Legion fully supports the president of the United States, the United States Congress and the men, women and leadership of our armed forces as they are engaged in the global war on terrorism and the troops who are engaged in protecting our values and way of life.’” http://www.infoshop.org/inews/article.php?story=20050825105357317
Don’t fall for the okey doke. Most modern Islamic countries are former European colonies. Countries like Iran, Iraq, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Jordan, Pakistan are primarily puppets of the Anglo-AmeriKKKan neo-colonial axis. They are not militaristic nor are they threats to their neighbors. Even the radical Islamic jihadists are not imperialists. They are either marginalized religious fanatics like Osama bin-Laden or nationalist freedom fighters like Hezbollah and Hamas. The are stateless agents not national governments! However let’s look at the characteristics of fascism “FOURTEEN CHARACTERISTICS OF FASCISM
Dr. Lawrence Britt, a political scientist, wrote an article about fascism which appeared in Free Inquiry magazine, a journal of humanist thought. Dr. Britt studied the fascist regimes of Hitler (Germany), Mussolini (Italy), Franco (Spain), Suharto (Indonesia), and Pinochet (Chile). He found the regimes all had 14 things in common, and he calls these the identifying characteristics of fascism. The article is titled "Fascism Anyone?," and appears in Free Inquiry’s Spring 2003 issue on page 20.

The 14 characteristics are:

1.. Powerful and Continuing Nationalism – Fascist regimes tend to make constant use of patriotic mottos, slogans, symbols, songs, and other paraphernalia. Flags are seen everywhere, as are flag symbols on clothing and in public displays.

2.. Disdain for the Recognition of Human Rights – Because of fear of enemies and the need for security, the people in fascist regimes are persuaded that human rights can be ignored in certain cases because of "need." The people tend to ‘look the other way’ of even approve of torture, summary executions, assassinations, long incarcerations of prisoners, etc.

3.. Identification of Enemies/Scapegoats as a Unifying Cause – The people are rallied into a unifying patriotic frenzy over the need to eliminate a perceived common threat or foe; racial, ethnic or religious minorities; liberals; communists; socialists; terrorists, etc.

4.. Supremacy of the Military – Even when there are widespread domestic problems, the military is given a disproportionate amount of government funding, and the domestic agenda is neglected. Soldiers and military service are glamorized.

5.. Rampant Sexism – The government if fascist nations tend to be almost exclusively male-dominated. Under fascist regimes, traditional gender roles are made more rigid. Opposition to abortion is high, as is homophobia and anti-gay legislation and national policy.

6.. Controlled Mass Media – Sometimes the media is directly controlled by the government, but in other cases, the media is indirectly controlled by government regulation, or through sympathetic media spokespeople and executives. Censorship, especially in wartime, is very common.

7.. Obsession with National Security – Fear is used as a motivation tool by the government over the masses.

8.. Religion and Government are Intertwined – Governments in fascist nations tend to use the most common religion in the nation as a tool to manipulate public opinion. Religious rhetoric and terminology is common from government leaders, even when the major tenets of the religion are diametrically opposed to the government’s policies or actions.

9.. Corporate Power is Protected – The industrial and business aristocracy of a fascist nation often are the ones who put the government leaders in power, creating a mutually beneficial business/government relationship and power elite.

10.. Labor Power is Suppressed – Because the organizing power of labor is the only real threat to a fascist government, labor unions are either eliminated entirely or are severely suppressed.

11.. Disdain for Intellectuals and the Arts – Fascist nations tend to promote and tolerate open hostility to higher education, and academia. It is not uncommon for professors and other academics to be censored or even arrested. Free expression in the arts is openly attacked, and governments often refuse to fund the arts.

12.. Obsession with Crime and Punishment – Under fascist regimes, the police are given almost limitless power to enforce laws. The people are often willing to overlook police abuses, and even forego civil liberties, in the name of patriotism. There is often a national police force with virtually unlimited power in fascist nations.

13.. Rampant Cronyism and Corruption – Fascist regimes almost always are governed by groups of friends and associates who appoint each other to government positions, and who use governmental power and authority to protect their friends from accountability.

14.. Fraudulent Elections – Sometimes elections in fascist nations are a complete sham. Other times elections are manipulated by smear campaigns against (or even the assassination of) the opposition candidates, the use of legislation to control voting numbers or political district boundaries, and the manipulation of the media. Fascist nations also typically use their judiciaries to manipulate or control elections.” http://www.veteransforpeace.org/The_14_characteristics_030303.htm
Do you see or have you experienced any of these characteristics in our culture during the last few years? Take a look at AmeriKKKa today and ask yourself how many of these characteristics do we see right now?! The real axis of evil, the real terrorists and fascists are right here, they are the AmeriKKKan ruling elites and their government flunkies like Bu$h, Cheney and Rumsfeld.
