How The MLK Legacy Was Sidetracked

The powers
who shouldn’t be thought during the height of their hubris and thuggery during
the 1960’s, once they killed Martin Luther King Jr., they would eliminate a
major obstacle to their imperialistic wars in Southeast Asia (Vietnam, Loas and
Cambodia and the use of Thailand as a staging area for these wars).
King gained international fame as
the spokesperson for the Montgomery bus boycott which dealt a crippling blow to
the racial apartheid in the city of Montgomery Alabama by using economic
boycotts as a tool but also to US policies of racial oppression. His success in
Montgomery along with an unprecedented string of legal victories by the NAACP led
to intensified challenges to the US system of racial apartheid and oppression not
just in the South but throughout the country. King won a Nobel Peace Prize for
his non-violent movement that shook the foundations of US racial oppression in
the 1950’s.
In addition to his push for full inclusion within
US society, King stood for international peace. He was uncompromising in his
determination to bring an end to US imperialism. King linked the struggles of
poor and marginalized people in America with this government’s racist
imperialistic policies around the world. In addition to his outspoken opposition
and condemnation of the war, King was planning to confront the US government regarding
its domestic policies by staging a multi-ethnic Poor People’s Campaign in
Washington D.C.
King was actively recruiting a
multi-ethnic coalition of poor, marginalized and disposed Americans to join
with him in his efforts to force the US to alter its priorities from war to
peace and from class-based greed to a broad policy of prosperity for all
Americans. None of his popular peers in the American clergy were doing what
King did, not Billy Graham, not Norman Vincent Peale, not Bishop Sheen, not
Cardinal Spellman; none of the television evangelists nor the major Rabbis. None
of them.
None of them stood up to openly oppose
the carnage in Southeast Asia, or the devastation and division the war was
causing at home. Martin Luther King Jr. spoke up and stood up and the peace
movement embraced him for it. King’s vision was an anathema to the ruling class
and their lackies in the government. His ideas posed an existential threat to
the overlord’s dreams of expanded empire, global rapine, pillage and plunder.
So, like the thugs and psychopaths
they are, they ordered his murder. King’s assassination triggered a backlash of
shock and violence. Riots erupted in over one hundred US cities and towns as
people reacted to the brutal murder of a man who worked to bring peace and deep
societal change to America.
Not satisfied with King’s elimination
these demons set out to obscure his mission, to obfuscate what he was really
about and what he was attempting to accomplish. Immediately they began referring
to him as a dreamer rather than a visionary man of action.
A dreamer is asleep. King was not asleep, he
was awake, keenly conscious of the evils and danger America imperialism posed
to the world. He was forced to recognize and admit the greatest purveyor of
violence in the world was his own government and he said so on numerous occasions!
King pulled the scab off of the sore that was American fascism allowing people
to see how they were being oppressed, manipulated and used to further the
ambitions of empire.
In order to obscure what King was
really about they distracted the us. They kept referring to the I Have a
Dream portion of a 1963 speech he delivered at the March on Washington,
totally ignoring the parts of the speech where he said “Instead of honoring
this sacred obligation (of freedom) America has given the Negro people a bad
check; a check which has come back marked insufficient funds… So, we have come to cash this check – a check
that will give us upon demand the riches of freedom and the security of justice”.
The ruling class’s media never plays
that portion of the speech or reminds us of his subsequent attempts to cash the
check he was organizing his Poor People’s Campaign to present to the US
government!
Instead of calling Martin Luther King Jr. a sage
and pushing his agenda of peace, reconciliation and domestic prosperity; the
ruling class concocted a Day of Service to misdirect and dupe the masses
into preserving the very system King was attempting to tear down by doing
isolated deeds of service rather than demolishing the edifice which benefits
from actions like Trump is doing in Nigeria, Somalia, Yemen, Iran and Venezuela!
Don’t fall for the okey-doke. Keep
King’s real legacy alive, resist!

As we enter
2026 and Dondal Trumps second full year of his second term as president, it is
quite apparent that Donlad Trump bamboozled millions of people who fell for his
Make America Great Again con game. First of all, the slogan Make America Great
Again is not original, Trump plagiarized it from another actor/fraud president
named Ronald Reagan.
Trump like Reagan claimed to be a conservative,
a singularly focused put America first kind of guy. He made bombastic
hyperbolic promises to bring back manufacturing, industrial capacity, jobs,
investment, he would fix the economy, reduce inefficiency reduce the trade
balances, restore America to global primacy and bring in an era of peace and
prosperity. Well one year in, none of this has manifested or transpired. In fact,
just the opposite has unfolded. The only prosperity we see is the increase in
billionaires and the wealth Trump’s family is amassing under his presidency. Meanwhile
the average American is seeing his or her standard of living decline, their
savings and wealth eviscerated and their sense of security and confidence
weakening every passing day. Trump’s reckless, wishy-washy policy decisions are
a major concern domestically and around the world. Much of what he’s done is
blowing up in his face like one of Wiley E. Coyote’s contraptions and gizmos.
Trump ran on a platform of peace. He
said he would end the forever wars, work to establish peaceful relations within
the world community and create a renaissance of American greatness. He said he would end partisan use of the DOJ as
a tool of persecution, he promised to release the Epstein, JFK and MLK files. So
far, we aren’t seeing any of this materialize.
Trump has gone totally rogue;
arbitrarily allowing essentially an advisory committee he called DOGE make
unilateral changes in government, terminate employees and stop funding programs
Congress already voted appropriations for, he has brow beat the chairman of the
US Central Bank to pressure him to reduce interest rates which would be disastrous
for the economy, he has activated state militias and sent them to L.A., Washington
D.C. Chicago and Memphis without being requested to do so by the mayors of
those cities nor the governors of those states!
On the international scene, Trump bombed Iran
merely on the say so of Israel a pariah nation engaging in genocide, ethnic
cleansing and blatant hostility towards its neighbor states. He is bombing
Yemen, Nigeria, Somalia and engaging in piracy in international waters and he
ordered the invasion and kidnapping of the duly elected president of Venezuela
and his wife. Trump threatens to take Greenland by force and suggests the US
annex Canada! He imposes unilateral indiscriminate tariffs on countries around
the world and failed to keep his promise to broker peace in Ukraine. International companies and corporations are
not flocking to the US to build factories because it is far cheaper to operate
oversees using slave labor and face fewer regulations that cut into their
massive profits.
In the New Year Trump is threatening to bomb
Iran, he is engaging in economic warfare against Cuba and he must know his
actions against Venezuela is a provocation against China who is that nation’s
main trading partner! Trumps he is a law unto himself! These are not the
actions of a sane, thoughtful person. His
behavior has even caused a split in his MAGA base. Trump is a narcissist; his arrogance,
bluster and bombast would be clownish and comical if they didn’t portend dire
consequences for the US and the world.
His actions are further dividing
the nation and causing angst among US allies. In short Trump has become an
agent of chaos and discombobulation, many of his actions are not just arbitrary
and reckless they are unconstitutional. Keep in mind this was the first year of
his second term, we have to endure three more years of this madness, if his
insanity doesn’t blow up in his and our faces like Wiley E. Coyote.

The revelry
had barely subsided and the confetti was still not fully cleaned and removed when
Donald J. “I’m the peace candidate” Trump fulfilled his threat to take out the
leader of Venezuela Nicholos Maduro and his wife. The US Empire struck again.
Trump ran in 2024 promising no new wars, a foreign policy based upon mutual
respect and beneficial trade among nations has demonstrated again to the world
his word means nothing!
On January
3 US military forces which had already attacked numerous small vessels alleging
with no evidence or proof they were smuggling drugs, diverted tankers containing
Venezuelan oil which is an act of piracy, also targeted Venezuelan military
installations and air defense systems partnering with the US CIA moved in and
kidnapped the president of a sovereign nation and his wife, then transporting
them to the US for “trial”.
The evil Empire
strikes again. Prior to kidnapping Maduro, Trump ordered the bombing of sites
in Nigeria claiming he did it to protect white Christians who were under attack
from Islamic terrorists when in fact Jihadists have been attacking Black and White
Christians and fellow Muslims in Northern Nigeria.
Keep in mind, the US is also
bombing Somalia and aiding the Saudis in their ongoing conflict with Ansur
Allah aka The Houthis in Yemen! Trump is becoming even more bellicose and
bombastic threatening Putin because he will not stop his military campaign to
rid Ukraine of Nazi elements who were emboldened by the US instigated coup d’état
in Ukraine in 2014.
Based upon
these occurrences and Trump’s unfailing support of Israel in its genocidal campaign
against the people of Gaza, Israel’s ongoing attacks against their neighbors in
Syria, Lebanon and the West Bank; it is crystal clear 2026 is not going to usher
in an era of peace and stability.
Trump acerbates tensions and
uncertainty with his wishy washy on, off, on-again threats of universal tariffs
and his arbitrary and capricious travel ban against countries he doesn’t like, who
resist or refuse to bow to his wishes.
Trump
recently bragged that he took several cognitive tests, claiming he passed them with
flying colors yet his behavior demonstrates an obviously illogical, inconsistent
and reckless mindset which call into question his mental state! His words and actions
are not those of a stable-minded, deliberate, thoughtful person. His actions
are however, consistent with the behavior of an American Empire, callous,
reckless, imperialists motives are designed to maintain and or extend its’
hegemony around the world.
The problem
is Trump’s actions are putting peace and global stability at severe risk. In
other words, his behavior while consistent with an imperialistic neocolonial empire
are putting the world on notice the US empire is moving in an aggressive
direction whose actions could trigger hostilities, conflicts and quagmires the
US may not be able to extricate itself from.
The US empire
is in decline; due to its moral rot and its fiscal recklessness. It is the last
bastion of Western imperialism and there are formidable forces moving to
counter its influence and hegemony. The Global South nations and some Asian
countries are requesting membership and joining the BRICS + alliance; or
forming alliances of their own to assure and insure stable trade and commerce relations.
Soon these alliances will begin to establish military and security partnerships
among themselves. It’s only natural to do so when they see the American Empire so out of control!
You don’t
have to be a prognosticator to see Trump’s actions are placing the world in a
precarious position. The sad part is the MAGAites, his Evangelical zealots base
and the warmongers fail to see the short- and long-term implications of his
actions. Buckle up, 2026 is going to be bumpy.
